In the spring of 2017, our bandmate, friend, cohort, soul brother, crazy conga man, and Live Bait co-founder Mr. Bruce Patrick was diagnosed with brain cancer. He chose to keep his battle private telling only family and close friends. It was tough news for us as a band since we have shared so much history and great memories of being on the road with Bruce. After several surgeries and radiation, we convinced him that we need to host a show to let him know how much the music community appreciates his talents and friendship. What better way to do that than have Live Bait play a full set along with other local musicians and special guests.

Charleston Original Live Bait gained popularity soon after receiving airplay on 96 WAVF
radio station in 1996. Expanding to full band status from an acoustic duo, they rocked through
the South East US gaining popularity as a opening act for major label bands and polishing an
impressive headlining set in smaller venues. Gaining attention of Major Label record companies
the band changed their name to 210 Deluxe after it was suggested that record companies
had a problem with the name Live Bait. They released three self produced CD’s; Live Bait, Second Hand, and Single Slice.
