The Louie D Project is a four piece band performing funk, jazz, rock, and hip-hop music. They deliver everything from smooth jazz instrumentals suitable for the quiet moments all the way to the latest pop tunes perfect for packing the dance floor.
The Louie D Project has been nominated three years in a row (2011, 2012, and 2013) for Best Funk Band by The Charleston City Paper Music Awards. Louie D has been nominated in two of those years as best horn player in Charleston. In 2015, Louie D was nominated for Best Hip Hop Artist and the band was nominated for Best Jazz Band.
