Spider Monkey formed in july of 1992, after Tony Gialluca, Todd Horn and Randy Rockalotta relocated to St. Augustine FL and met local surfer/skater Garrett Coleman. After 2 weeks of rehearsing and putting together enough songs for an opening spot @ Admiral Spicollis, Spider Monkey got their first gig opening for Schrodingers Cat.
Between '92 and '99 Spider Monkey performed between 250-300 shows a year. Drawing sell out crowds in many towns across the South East including Jax, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Orlando, Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Columbia, Spartansburg, Clemson, Ashville, Wilmington, Fairfax, DC, Baltimore and VA Beach. All along developing a following as far East as Texas and Colorado.
Spider Monkey have 7 self released albums and 1 yet to be released DVD.
