I’m Thomas Rowland, an aspiring singer-songwriter from Georgetown, South Carolina. I like to think of myself as an old soul, but I’m twenty-two-years-old and on a mission to live a life that someone would want to read about one day. I write and tell stories through my music and I express myself with the words I sing. My singing and songwriting approach is a combination of folk, country, and southern rock that fits with the past, present, and future. When I’m not giving out my heart and soul on stage, I’m back porch pickin’ with a few of my best buds, or trying to find the next song.

I’m figuring this music thing out as I go, and I’ve had some great experiences along the way. I’ve been singing since I was around 8 years old, when my Mama signed my sister and I up for the church choir. In highschool, I sang in an acapella group and continued to sing in the choir as well. Out of boredom and curiosity, I began picking and writing songs using my roommates guitar. During this time, I started messing around on Logic Pro X. I released a cover of Steve Lacy’s “Dark Red” as a senior in highschool. As a student at Wofford College, I earned degrees in Spanish and Environmental Studies, but I spent most of my time daydreaming about playing shows and writing songs. I released my first original song, “Ragdoll”, in September of 2021, and I’m hooked on writing music and putting if out for the world to hear. In 2023, my passion for songwriting and performing has led me to some incredible opportunities like songwriting as an intern with Angel Oak Publishing Company and opening for Old Crow Medicine Show. Now that I’m graduated from Wofford, I’m headed out to Nashville, Tennessee to give it a real shot. Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy my music!
